Please indicate how you wish your gift to be used. The best way to help victims of disasters across the country each year is to donate to the Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

The Malaria Prevention Program:

The American Red Cross Malaria Prevention Program is working to fight this disease and saves lives in Africa and other at-risk regions of the world. Your donation will enable the American Red Cross and its partners to (1) provide insecticide-treated bed nets; (2) educate families; (3) raise awareness about malaria; and (4) research methods for increasing usage of bed nets.

International Response Fund:

While addressing ongoing health concerns like Malaria, we often face life-threatening disasters that call on resources of the Red Cross. Disasters such as famine and drought, earthquakes and flooding, war and displacement demand a response from the Red Cross Movement. In the last decade, almost two billion people around the world have been affected by disasters and are in great need. The American Red Cross is there to help and relies upon the generosity of the American public to support our global relief efforts by making gifts to the International Response Fund.

You can help those affected by countless crises around the world each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance, and other support to help those in need.

The American Red Cross is not a government agency and all Red Cross disaster assistance is free thanks to the generosity of people like you. The value of your donation is increased by the fact that the ratio of volunteer Red Cross workers to paid staff is almost 36 to one.
