On June 9, 2012, the 7th Annual Run for the Red 5K will be presented by Market Alternatives to raise funds for Local Disaster Relief provided by the Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross. This is an exciting event in which the overall Male and Female winners will each win a gold medal and $50.00. Metals will also be given to the first three winners of each of our 12 age divisions. The event also includes door prizes that will be disbursed during the 10am acknowledgement ceremony. There will also be FREE water and refreshments before, during, and after the event. FREE parking is available behind Central Park and East Ave. in Newark, NY. Restrooms are available for use at the Alex Eligh Community Center. The fee is $15.00 in advance and $20.00 the day of the race. Registration will open at 8am at the Central Park Gazebo on Church St, Newark, NY and the race will start at 9am. The events timing will be taken care of by Yellow Jacket R acing and the certification number is NY10008JG.
