Dear Friend of the Red Cross,
January begins a New Year
and another opportunity
to answer an age-old question:
What are your New Year's
resolutions?
Aside from the tried and
true favorites - eat
healthier, exercise more,
spend more time with loved
ones, give up smoking - the
American Red Cross suggests
adding a new goal that will
help you and the ones you
love stay healthy and safe.
Resolve to Be Red Cross
Ready in 2007!
Of course, the real trick
to resolutions is not making
them, but keeping them...beyond
February. To that end, the
Red Cross is here to help
with a list that will jump
start you on your way with
three basic steps: Get a
kit. Make a plan. Be informed.
Following these basic steps
can help you better cope
with disasters like the
recent severe winter storms.
With our monthly
task list,
you will keep preparing
for life’s little
emergencies all year long – most
of which will take you less
than an hour to accomplish!
You can even print out the
checklist and post it on
the fridge as a reminder
each month.
As we kick off another
new year, consider making
a promise to yourself and
your loved ones to get prepared.
Regards,
 Kathleen Loehr
Senior Vice President
American Red Cross
