Make a Difference Day is October 27. Mark your calendars.
As the season of giving gets closer we have a menu of opportunities involving our youth volunteers and helping those in need. Make sure to mark the October 27 in your activities calendars it is Make a Difference Day!
What is Make a Difference Day about?
It's about the very essence of each community—reaching out and helping others, a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors.
There are a couple things that you might consider:
|
Ask what your community needs
Look around your community and you will identify plenty of opportunities to roll up your sleeves and help others.
|
Tell others what are you doing and enlist help
If you need help in implementing your project, register your plans in the Make A Difference DAYtaBANK, a national listing of local projects that will be viewed by interested volunteers, other people looking for good project ideas and news media looking for good stories to tell.
