Youth and Young Adult Red Cross Leaders & Volunteers: We Want Your Elected Officials to Hear From You.

The Red Cross Action Network (RCAN) is a program that connects Red Cross volunteers with their elected officials and gives youth leaders the opportunity to have a direct impact on the policies that shape our organization. During the 2007 National Youth Institutes, Red Cross youth and young adult leaders heard presentations on effective leadership styles and the received tools to help empower you in your leadership development.

As a member of RCAN, you will -

  • Become part of a collective voice to make a difference in our communities and across the nation;
  • Have the ability to send personalized messages to your elected officials about issues affecting Red Cross youth and young adults; and
  • Receive updates on legislative issues that impact the Red Cross youth and young adults.

WHO Can Participate?
All Red Cross youth and young adult leaders and volunteers can participate.

WHY Join?
RCAN can keep you up-to-date on issues that affect Red Cross youth and young adults and our ability to provide assistance to people in our communities, across the nation and around the world. The RCAN system makes it easy for you to be a Red Cross advocate and further the Red Cross mission. When you sign up to become a member of RCAN, you will be given the tools to help ensure that the Red Cross youth and young adult story is heard in Congress, the state legislatures and your local governments.
