Campaign for Disaster Relief - THANK YOU

You changed the lives of those who faced the hurricanes of 2008.
As hurricane after hurricane threatened our nation, residents fled from their communities, leaving their homes and businesses to be battered by winds and rain. Affecting more than just coastal communities, the hurricanes of 2008 made their way across the nation, leaving trails of evacuations, destruction and flooding. In every community impacted, the American Red Cross welcomed evacuees into our shelters with open arms. Warm meals were served, cots were filled with weary residents, first aid was provided and mental health workers helped folks cope with the emotional impact of the storms. As the relief operation continued, the Red Cross worked with community partners to ensure people received the help they needed.

Only through the support of our donors is the Red Cross mission a reality. Time and again, the public's generosity allows us to be on the front lines of disaster.

The Red Cross extends a special thank you to our partners who ensured that families and individuals affected by this hurricane season had a place to turn during these devastating storms. With gifts of time, money or supplies for our Hurricanes of 2008 relief efforts and the Disaster Relief Fund, you helped thousands of people cope and recover.
