American Airlines is proud to support the American Red Cross and their efforts to help those impacted by the Hurricanes of 2008.
If you would like to join us in supporting hurricane victims during 2008 by making a cash donation, we have a bonus mile opportunity for you. Through September 30, 2008, AAdvantage ® members can receive a one-time award of 250 bonus miles for a minimum $50 donation, or 500 bonus miles for a donation of $100 or more to the American Red Cross.
To receive your bonus miles, forward your email donation acknowledgment from the American Red Cross to ReliefMiles@aa.com. Please do not to change the subject line, but do provide your AAdvantage number.

- Minimum donation of $50 required in order to receive bonus miles
- Bonus miles are limited to 500 miles per member
- Promotion dates are September 4 through September 30, 2008
- Donation receipts from the American Red Cross must be forwarded to ReliefMiles@aa.com. Miles will post to the member's AAdvantage account approximately 14 days after the receipts are received. Please check your AAdvantage account on aa.com to verify the bonus miles.
- The name on the donation receipt must match the name on the AAdvantage account.
- You must be an AAdvantage member to receive the bonus miles.
- Bonus miles do not count toward elite-status qualification.
