Blood, Sweat and Cheers! 26.2 Miles for the American Red Cross!
Here we go again!!
I am proud to be running the 117th B.A.A. Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013 as a member of Team Red Cross in support of the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts!
As a runner for Team Red Cross, I am helping to save lives and change lives across the eastern Massachusetts region.
My experience volunteering at the Red Cross brings me back to my high school and college days. They gave me the foundations of leadership, taught me to be professional and a quick thinker, and provided me lifesaving skills that I still carry with me until this day.
It is such a selfless organizations that millions of Red Cross volunteers and worker put their lives out to help others. This organization is usually the first one there in time of crisis and the last one to leave. I am proud to have been part of this organization growing up and representing this organization as I embark on another 26.2 mile journey.
We have recently seen the impact locally of the Red Cross through the devastation of Hurricane Sandy and abroad through the earthquakes in Haiti and Japan and their constant global mission of relief.
I am not just running for a cause, I am running for an organization that changed my life and makes a positive impact on so many in the world!
Thanks you, from the bottom of my heart, for your support. No matter what you can donate, everything counts!
See you out on the course on April 15th
