Finishing Boston 2012
|
Welcome! I am proud to be running the 117th Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013 as a member of Team Red Cross in support of the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts! This is my second year as a Team Red Cross member and my third Boston Marathon.
As a runner for Team Red Cross, I am helping to save lives and change lives across the eastern Massachusetts region, specifically our Cape Cod and Islands Chapter. The Red Cross mission inspires and motivates me to train even harder to achieve my marathon goals. Though I have a short time to train, I am totally motivated to make this my first successful fundraising effort for the Red Cross- I hope you will join me. No matter what my time is, I know this will be a great success and I am THRILLED to be a part of Team Red Cross, and here's hoping it's not as hot as last year! I was a blood and platelet donor for over twenty years (and I am a living lung lobe donor), served on our local board and am proud to be the Executive Director of our local Chapter.
Please join me in supporting me the Red Cross with a contribution toward my fundraising goal to benefit this amazing organization. I have pledged to raise a minimum of $4,000 to benefit the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts which includes our Cape Cod & Islands Chapter. The American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts is one of the largest Red Cross chapters in the nation, serving 181 communities with a population of five million residents. Each year, more than 2,500 Red Cross volunteers, along with Red Cross staff, provide critical programs and services to nearly 690,000 people in need across the region, including: Disaster and Emergency Response; Health and Safety Training; Food and Nutrition Programs; Health Care Job Training, Services to Armed Forces, Youth Programs and more!
Follow my progress throughout the training season and check out the latest news regarding Team Red Cross.
Thank you for your support!
