In the event of a major disaster or a house fire, flood or other local disaster, the Red Cross is the place to turn to for food, comfort, safe shelter, help on the path to recovery and even lifesaving blood.

Join the Disaster 5K  on Saturday, October 20, 2012 as a runner, walker, team captain, volunteer or supporter. It will allow the Cape Cod and Islands Chapter, American Red Cross to be there to provide immediate lifesaving aid and help families take the first steps toward recovery. Every year it takes tens of thousands of dollars to support our neighbors after a disaster, right here on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.
